This A Level entrant job will suit ambitious, hardworking individuals aiming for a professional qualification. You will not only have the opportunity to study towards the Accounting Technician (AAT) qualification, but will also be able to specialise in Accounts, Audit, Tax, Insolvency and/or Corporate Finance in the future, and for some there may be the chance to go on to do further qualifications such as ATT, (Tax Technician) CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor) or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant).

Our AAT Trainees are recognised as key team members from day one. Bishop Fleming has a reputation for giving trainees broad based training to prepare them to provide business advice.

You will gain valuable work experience whilst studying for your AAT. Initially you will be working in an established expanding Corporate & Business Services team (Accounts) where you will gain rapid experience in accounts preparation and tax for a broad range of South West clients.

And, as soon as you are ready, we will get you out working with clients. Some audit experience may also be included.

You will have:

  • 2 A Levels A*-C (or equivalent), ideally with a Maths or business related subject at B minimum
  • 9 GCSEs grade A*-C (or equivalent), ideally with Maths grade B as a minimum
  • Very good IT Skills with a strong working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • A Driving Licence would be desirable

You will be:

  • An excellent communicator (both oral and verbal) who possesses confident interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, be well organised and enjoy working with a variety of clients
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail levels
