This A Level entrant job will suit ambitious, hardworking individuals aiming for a professional qualification. You will not only have the opportunity to study towards the Accounting Technician (AAT) qualification, but will also be able to specialise in Accounts, Audit, Tax, Insolvency and/or Corporate Finance in the future, and for some there may be the chance to go on to do further qualifications such as ATT, (Tax Technician) CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor) or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant).

Our AAT Trainees are recognised as key team members from day one. Bishop Fleming has a reputation for giving trainees broad based training to prepare them to provide business advice.

You will gain valuable work experience whilst studying for your AAT. Initially you will be working in role that will be a combination of audit and accounts preparation duties for a diverse range clients. Initially you will spend most of your time in the office, but as you get more experienced you will get the opportunity to visit clients and undertake audit assignments.

You will have:

  • 2 A Levels A*-C (or equivalent), ideally with a Maths or business related subject at B minimum
  • 9 GCSEs grade A*-C (or equivalent), ideally with Maths grade B as a minimum
  • Very good IT Skills with a strong working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • A Driving Licence would be desirable

You will be:

  • An excellent communicator (both oral and verbal) who possesses confident interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, be well organised and enjoy working with a variety of clients
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail levels
