Do you want to start a career within Financial Services?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Trainee to join our highly successful Financial Services team. Your training will include full study support for the Diploma in Financial Planning, whilst you gain invaluable work experience, and get paid to do it! There will also be the opportunity to study further qualifications.
Being a key player in a small team from day one, your training will cover all aspects of the process, starting in Sales Support, moving over to a Para Planner role and later becoming a highly trained IFA.
You will become fully versed in all aspects of IFA compliance and regulations, as well as becoming a fully competent independent adviser providing impartial sensitive advice to our wide range of customers including individuals, companies and trustees.
We start by meeting up and getting to know our clients, what their existing financial circumstances are and what they’d like to achieve. We listen to their thoughts and explore a range of possibilities, including making recommendations when there are courses of action that they might not have been aware of.
We put our advice into a report (if you don’t know what Para Planners do, then you will soon find out) and once the recommendations have received their approval the adviser will then arrange investments and draw up contracts with the providers on their behalf.
As your experience builds, you will gain experience of report writing and para-planning with the aim of progressing to become a fully-fledged advisor.
As part of the Bishop Fleming group, Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers have access to all the services Bishop Fleming can provide, including tax advice and financial forecasts to business planning and corporate finance. You will therefore be able to offer clients a fully comprehensive service.
You will be joining part of a growing and dynamic Sunday Times Top 100 Employer which has over 300 employees working across 7 offices throughout the wider South West. We offer a vibrant contemporary work place that is smart, modern, and approachable with a high level of integrity. Our trainees describe us as “friendly and supportive”, which reflects our refreshingly different culture.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, who is highly organised and efficient, and who sees this as a long term career path where their personal qualities fit well with our client base, and where they can develop and enhance their professional, managerial and entrepreneurial qualities as a long term member of the team.
