Are you a driven VAT Manager or Executive looking to join an award winning tax team?

The purpose of this role will be to provide a VAT advisory service to a wide range of clients across the firm. You will be ready to seize the opportunity to provide VAT advice in all areas of our work. Clients include successful SME's and charities with many operating internationally. You will get the opportunity to explore VAT issues in a wide range of areas including land and property, education, health and technology.

Working alongside the VAT Director, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within VAT. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients in the transition to Making Tax Digital for VAT in April 2019
  • Advising UK and international clients on the VAT and other indirect tax implications of Brexit, and other international trading issues
  • Advising charity and other not for profit clients on VAT liability of income and VAT recovery including partial exemption methods
  • Discussing the VAT implications of residential and commercial property developments with clients and contacts including solicitors and architects
  • Communicating key VAT developments internally and externally by blogs and social media

You will have:

  • CTA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience in handling various VAT matters gained in either an accountancy practice or HMRC environment.
  • Excellent IT Skills and a good standard of education (minimum 2 A Levels, 9 GCSEs (or equivalent) with at least a Grade B in Maths and English

You will:

  • Be able to confidently manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Enjoy introducing VAT services to existing clients as well as attending a range of external networking events.
