We are looking for enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to join our Torquay based payroll bureau.

Working from a modern and recently refurbished office which has everything from break out areas to outside space, this role will provide you with the opportunity to develop a career in payroll.

Our payroll bureaus are growing rapidly and provide an outsourced payroll service to a wide range of businesses ranging from academy schools through to manufacturers. Within this role you will be trained and then responsible for running our client payrolls from end to end.

It won’t all be about work – this role will give you the opportunity to study payroll qualifications as well as the opportunity to get involved in our CSR and Business Development activities, all of which will combine to aid your overall career development.

Our Business

Recently recognised as a Sunday Times 100 Best Employer for the fifth consecutive year, you will be joining a business that is taking giant strides in the accountancy and advisory sectors.

We offer a refreshingly different culture to other accountancy practices and on a mission to become the most rewarding firm in the UK for our clients, people and communities.

The Role

Working within our busy payroll team, your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Regularly liaising with our clients to ensure that you have all the information required to run their payrolls
  • Processing tax and allowances
  • Providing a pensions auto enrolment service
  • Dealing with payroll and bank credits

What we are looking for

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

  • Previous administration experience – ideally you will have some experience of working within a payroll/finance related environment
  • Good IT skills and be able to confidently use Microsoft office and payroll software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced working environment

If you would like to find out more about the role then please contact Ben Carter; Resourcing Manager or Tracy Clegg; Payroll Manager.

We recognise the importance of offering our employees flexibility in how they work.  This may include working from home some of the time or flexible working arrangements such as part time working to accommodate parent and carer responsibilities, further studies and hobbies.

We are a responsible employer - committed to welcoming new people into an inclusive working environment, where everyone is given equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our ‘One Firm’ approach aims to provide a culture where our people are valued and treated fairly with respect, but also one where our differences are understood and celebrated.

We hope that these objectives will attract you to our business as an employer of choice.
