We are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join our expanding Payroll Services team.

This role will give you the opportunity to broaden your payroll knowledge whilst working with a diverse client base.

Working from our newly refurbished Torquay office, (check out the video tour on our website), you will be joining a service line that has experienced significant growth over the last few years.

Our Business

Recognised as a 2019 Sunday Times 100 Best Company to work for, Bishop Fleming’s core values are built around providing our staff with a great environment to work in and giving our clients an outstanding level of service.

Our focus towards employee wellbeing will ensure that you maintain a healthy work-life balance whilst being part of an expanding business that is demonstrating excellent year on year growth with over 350 staff based across 7 offices.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our client’s payroll, working on a mix of weekly to monthly payrolls, as well as dealing with payroll and bank credits, processing tax and allowances and providing an auto enrolment service.

You will need to build relationships quickly with your clients as you will often liaise with them to obtain various pieces of information in order to process their payrolls.

This role will give you the opportunity to study Payroll qualifications, as well as being able to take part in our management development and mentoring programmes – all of which will contribute towards you developing your career further.

What we are looking for

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • Payroll administration experience gained from either an in-house or an outsourced payroll environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to build strong working relationships with a portfolio of clients
  • A flexible approach to work with fantastic attention to detail skills
  • Strong IT skills with experience of using Star payroll desirable

We recognise the importance of offering our employees flexibility in how they work.  This may include working from home some of the time or flexible working arrangements such as part time working to accommodate parent and carer responsibilities, further studies and hobbies.

We are a responsible employer - committed to welcoming new people into an inclusive working environment, where everyone is given equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our ‘One Business’ approach aims to provide a culture where our people are valued and treated fairly with respect, but also one where our differences are understood and celebrated.

We hope that these objectives will attract you to our firm as an employer of choice.
