We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our expanding IT team. This position will give you the opportunity to take on a role that is a combination of 1st and 2nd Line IT support within a business that is continually investing in their IT services.

Having an interest in all things tech, you will get to work with various systems and software, ensuring that we continue to offer a fantastic IT service to our people. Based from our Exeter office, you will engage with our users on daily basis and will also have the opportunity to visit our offices on a regular basis.

The Role

Our IT Infrastructure is at the centre of everything that we do. Your main duties will be focused around providing effective 1st and 2nd Line IT support to our people and will include:

  • Logging helpdesk calls and providing assistance to resolve 1st line and 2nd line issues
  • Day to day administration of our Cloud based file sharing service
  • Distributing IT equipment to staff
  • Installing software and obtaining back-ups
  • Building laptops/phones/tablets for end users
  • Assist with IT projects, roll outs and implementations

What we are looking for

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

  • 1st and 2nd line IT support experience
  • A strong working knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10), Windows Server 2012, 2016 as well as Microsoft Office and Skype
  • Experience of IP Telephony Systems and Iphone/Ipad Administration
  • Knowledge of building / imaging Laptop / Desktop devices (SCCM an advantage)
  • Experience of Multi-Function Printer Administration and of Call logging systems (Zendesk an advantage)
  • Basic Networking experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain and resolve technical problems to ‘non-technical’ people
  • A proactive approach to work with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Full Driving Licence with access to a car
